Ernie Ball Introduces Overdrive and Ambient Delay Expression Effects Pedals
Ernie Ball introduced a pair of expression pedals for bassists and guitarists at the Summer NAMM show this year. The Expression Overdrive and Ambient Delay pedals, which will be available later this year, offer dynamic foot control for on-the-fly tweaking.
The Expression Overdrive is described as tonally versatile, delivering “everything from a hint of natural tube-amp-like overdrive and rhythm crunch to searing lead tones.” In addition to the foot controller, it has Drive, Boost, and tone knobs for dialing in your sound. The Ambient Delay dishes up 50 milliseconds to 1 second of delay time layered with reverb. Its controls include Delay Time, Reverb Level, and Feedback.
Each pedal is equipped with Ernie Ball’s PVC-coated Kevlar cord and spring linkage. They come in either polished gold and rose gold aluminum casings and ship with a power supply.
The Ernie Ball Expression Overdrive and Expression Ambient Delay pedals will be shipping later this year with prices of $179.99 and $199.99, respectively.
