Amptweaker Introduces Bass Jr Distortion Pedal Series

Amptweaker Bass Jr Distortion Pedal Series

After years of requests, Amptweaker recently added a Dry Low knob to their TightMetal and TightRock pedals. Now the feature is available in a new bass friendly range called the Amptweaker Bass Jr Distortion Series. Each of the models share most of the features of their guitar counterparts but with the new Dry Low knob to help maintain the bottom end.

The series has three models: the Bass TightRock Jr, the Bass TightDrive Jr, and the Bass TightMetal Jr. All of the pedals use true bypass switching and operate from 9 to 18VDC. They each have a 3-position Tight switch with Fat, Normal, and Tight settings to dial in the pedal’s attack. Another EQ switch provides Plexi (Thrash on the TightMetal), Normal, and Smooth settings for tonal variety.

The drive section has Gain, Tone and Volume knobs, but is set apart by a manually-adjustable noise gate. Amptweaker says the gate can be “cranked to stop notes hard and fast,” and only affects your distorted tone. It does not affect the signal when the pedal is bypassed.
