Chevelle Releases 8th Studio Album

Chevelle: The North CorridorChevelle’s latest album, The North Corridor, marks a bit of a departure for the band.

“I think this record was designed in a way to be more aggressive and more fun to play onstage, and that’s just going off the reactions we see from our perspective. You can tell when a crowd is into what you’re doing—I think that drove the darkness of this record. It was like, Let’s play more stuff that we love playing onstage!,” bassist Dean Bernardini tells Fuse TV. The band worked on the album, its eighth studio effort, with producer Joe Barresi, who also produced the band’s albums Hats Off to the Bull and La Gárgola. Barresi is also known for his work with Tool and Queens of the Stone Age.

The single, “Joyride (Omen),” features that sound Bernardini describes, as well as some ripping bass.

The North Corridor is available on CD, vinyl and as a digital download (iTunes and Amazon MP3).
