Elrick Bass Guitars Unveils Steve Lawson Signature Model
Steve Lawson has teamed up with Elrick Bass Guitars to release a signature model. The Gold Standard Steve Lawson Custom Bolt-on Neck Bass Guitar is a semi-hollow body that features the company’s “heel-less” body design.
The bass is built with a maple body topped with marbled walnut. Its quarter-sawn maple neck sports a 33-inch scale and is bolted to the body with five bolts in an asymmetrical pattern, which Elrick says improves stability and playability. The shorter scale accommodates the option of thru-body stringing with standard scale strings, while a 17mm string spacing and thinner neck profile suit chordal and solo playing alike.
Electronics include a pair of Aero single coil pickups matched to passive electronics with a push-button momentary kill switch. Other features include Hipshot hardware, Dunlop Straploks, and an Elrick Zero Gravity Case.
The Gold Standard Steve Lawson Custom Bolt-on Neck Bass Guitar is handcarved in the U.S. It’s available for order in four-, five-, six-, and seven-string versions starting at $5,100.
