Source Audio has introduced the Soleman MIDI Foot Controller, a device they call a highly configurable hardware and software MIDI controller packaged in a sleek, durable housing. The pedal is fitted with two 5-pin MIDI DIN outputs, a USB port, four programmable footswitches, an expression input, a tap tempo switch and a high-contrast LCD display. It also has complementary editing software and three modes of control.
“The Soleman’s three powerful control modes include ‘Scene Mode,’ ‘Set List Mode,’ and ‘Panel Mode,'” Source Audio explains. “Scene Mode is a simple up/down Program Change (PC) controller with a custom naming function that appears on the pedal’s LCD display. Set List Mode allows users to arrange Program Change messages in up to 64 different running orders, perfect for arranging presets into a custom sequence for a single song or an entire set. In the highly flexible Panel Mode, each of the four footswitches can be fully customized to perform virtually any MIDI function. Each switch can be individually configured with options that include: Switch Action, MIDI Message Types, MIDI Chanel, On/Off Messages, LED state, Tap Tempo, and much more.”
The Source Audio Soleman MIDI Foot Controller is available now for $249.
