Positive Grid Unveils the BIAS Distortion Pro Pedal

Positive Grid BIAS Distortion Pro

Positive Grid has expanded their BIAS amplifier processing technology into the BIAS Distortion Pro Pedal. The tone-matching distortion pedal works for guitar and bass by emulating the circuitry of any distortion.

“With BIAS Distortion pedal, users can easily match their favorite distortion, overdrive, fuzz, and boost pedals’ tones,” the company writes. “BIAS Distortion integrates with BIAS Pedal’s Tone Match technology – it analyzes and compares your currently selected pedal and the sound of a target tube pedal. It then executes the tonal compensation and enhancements needed to make your pedal’s sound accurately match that of the target pedal. BIAS Distortion works with Positive Grid’s BIAS Pedal app for mobile and desktop to allow users to share and download their custom tones on the cloud.”

Users will also be able to design and modify their own custom distortion pedal by tweaking the input volume, distortion stages, pre and post EQ, and more. The BIAS pedal is loaded with 10 default presets with the ability to import new ones with its corresponding app. Other features include full MIDI capability, a Boost, True Bypass, an Expression Pedal input, USB connectivity, and Bluetooth capability.

The BIAS Pedal is available for pre-order at $299.
