Ashdown Engineering has teamed up with bassist Stuart Zender to introduce the SZ Funk Face Twin Dynamic Filter Pedal. The pedal is designed for simplicity in getting a funky sound that Zender, who was the original bassist for Jamiroquai, is known for.
Its filter section has a Sensitivity knob to control the effect’s response, while an Output knob controls the overall level. The Funk Face also has a 12AX7 tube for distortion with its own Drive knob. Both the filter and drive sections can be engaged with their own footswitch, and a switch on the right side of the pedal allows for routing the tube overdrive pre- or post-wah.
The Ashdown SZ Funk Face Twin Dynamic Filter Pedal will be available soon with a street price around $299.
