EBS Launches Blue Label Pedals and Premium Gold Flat Patch Cables

EBS Blue Label Pedal Series

EBS unveiled a new line of pedals called the Blue Label Series at NAMM this year. It’s starting this year with three analog overdrive models called the Drive Me Crazy, The Black Haze, and The Drive. While EBS makes everything work well for bass, these pedals are made specifically to work well on bass and guitar.

“We know how to make pedals sound great for bass because we’ve been doing it for 30 years, but we also wanted these to sound great with guitar,” EBS’s Ralf Bjurbo told us. “So we brought in Sweden’s top guitar players to give us feedback in the process. The Drive is like a boost that you can use to drive the front of your amp. It gives a slightly compressed tube sound if you put it after your bass. Then you have the Black Haze, which is like a creamy, rich distortion. It has two different drive circuits that work together to push the gain. Finally, we have the Drive Me Crazy, which by the name you can tell is a high gain distortion. Both the Drive Me Crazy and the Black Haze have a Character switch, so you sculpt with Thin, Normal, and Deep settings.”

Each of the pedals run on a 9-volt adapter and will have an estimated street price starting at $119.

EBS Premium Gold Flat Patch CablesIn addition to the Blue Label, EBS launched the Premium Gold Flat patch cables. The uber-sleek cables feature “tiny contact housing” and flat cables to save you as much space as possible on your pedalboard.

EBS says the series has very low resistance and capacitance to keep your sound clean without signal loss. The cables come in 10cm, 18cm, 28cm, and 58cm lengths starting at $6.95 per cable.
