TC Electronic Introduces the HyperGravity Mini Compressor and Mimiq Mini Doubler Pedals
In addition to revamping their PolyTune pedal this year, TC Electronic has unveiled two new mini effects: the HyperGravity Mini Compressor and the Mimiq Mini Doubler. Each of the new units are compact versions of existing models with tweaks.
TC calls the HyperGravity Mini Compressor the world’s smallest multi-band compressor. It features their MD3 algorithm with three controls: Sustain, Attack, and Level. The pedal is also TonePrint enabled for beaming settings via the company’s TonePrint app.
The Mimiq Mini Doubler uses their proprietary doubling algorithm to beef up your sound. It has Effect and Dry controls for setting the mix as well as a Tightness knob to control how closely the doubled effect tracks. “Set it low for ultimate sober precision or crank it for a looser, ‘whoops, one too many beers,’ kinda feel,” the company explains.
Both the HyperGravity Mini Compressor and the Mimiq Mini Doubler feature a true bypass design. They are shipping this month for $99.
