Elrick Bass Guitars Unveils Steve Lawson Custom Fretless Bass
Steve Lawson and Elrick Bass Guitars have teamed up again to introduce the Gold Standard Steve Lawson Custom Fretless, Bolt-on neck bass guitar. Featuring a 33-inch scale, the bass has a semi-hollow body with a “heel-less” design. A thru-body string option allows for using standard scale strings.
“A Macassar ebony fretless fingerboard and custom Aero single coil pickups (featuring matching wood covers) in passive configuration contribute to the clarity and articulation of this instrument,” Elrick writes. “Combined with the medium scale length, 17mm string spacing and 2” neck width at the nut accommodates chordal players as well as soloists. Also included is a push-button momentary / kill switch for special effects.”
As part of Elrick’s Gold Series, the Steve Lawson Custom Fretless comes with a book-matched exotic wood top as a standard feature. Many other custom upgrades are available. The Elrick Steve Lawson Custom Fretless model starts at $5,100.
