Thunder Case Introduces the Flight Case Compact Vault
For musicians needing some extra protection while flying, Thunder Case has introduced the Flight Case Compact Vault. The case/stand is only 14 or 19 inches wide and can hold up to four basses (or guitars). It’s built with a military-grade outer shell coating and a foam inner lining.
“The Thunder Case shell is made out of wood reinforced with inner galvanized metal corners,” the company writes. “Everything is glued and fixed together with 3/16 aluminum rivets. The size of the case is custom made to ensure a perfect fit with your instruments. We use a combination of soft ester foam plus high-density expanded polystyrene foam for [interior] padding material. The material in contact with guitars is medium length plush fabric (synthetic fibers such as acrylic and polyester).”
Beyond the basic package, Thunder Case also offers a variety of options including the interior color, removable separators, storage compartment in the lid, LED lighting, and more. The Thunder Case Flight Case Compact Vault is now shipping with an average street price of $1299.
