OnkartGromt Unveils Three New Bass Pedals
Norway’s OnkartGromt has expanded their pedal lineup for bassists with three new models: the FunkyFellow envelope filter, the TurboTore EQ, and the Tremolando tremolo. Each of the pedals is fitted with a unique OLED screen that gives a visual representation of the effect’s parameters.
In the case of the FunkyFellow, the screen shows the frequency response live. The filter has knobs for controlling the Sensitivity, Resonance, Frequency, and Output as well as a switch for highpass, bandpass, and lowpass filter. Other features include an expression pedal input, a momentary soft true bypass on/off, and a modulation mode that adds a sine modulation on top of the envelope with TAP function.
The TurboTore is a six-band parametric EQ that shows your EQ on its OLED screen in real time. It has four adjustable parameters: level (+/-12dB), Frequency, Q, and output Level. The pedal also has two inputs with adjustable levels and a VU meter level indicator. Users can save 10 presets for quickly recalling a setting. An expression pedal input allows for adjusting the level of a selected band on the fly.
Finally, the Tremolando offers a tremolo designed for the bass. “Tremolo is not the most used effect for bass guitars,” OnkartGromt admits, “but a creative player combined with expression pedals can make magic out of this box. With various modulation shapes, it is possible to make a wide variety of styles.” Its OLED screen visualizes the amplitude of the modulation curves. Adjustable parameters include Level, Frequency, Depth and Shape(Sine, sawtooth, inv sawtooth, triangle, and square). Its tap ratio is adjustable while stereo connectivity allows for ping pong or mono modes.
The OnkartGromt FunkyFellow, TurboTore, and Tremolando are available for order now all priced at $299.
