Blues Traveler Archives

Blues Traveler has released a new album called “Traveler’s Blues”, which is a collection of covers from the American Blues Songbook and other classics. Tad Kinchla holds it all together from the low end, providing deep grooves and funky lines.

Here’s a clip of Blues Traveler performing at a Bridge School benefit concert in October 1997. This acoustic version of “Sweet Pain” is just pure magic, thanks in part to Bobby Sheehan’s terrific work on the acoustic bass guitar.

August 20th, 2009 marked the tenth anniversary of the untimely passing of bassist Bobby Sheehan. In the late 1980’s Sheehan co-founded the band Blues Traveler and helped set the foundation for the modern jam-band scene.
