Taylor Lee has once again called upon some phenomenal bassists for a shred session for the holidays. This time he’s joined by Jon Reshard, Bubby Lewis, Cody Wright, Jay Laws, Shaun Gotti Calloway, and AJ Brown.

Check out this cool clip of Jon Reshard ripping up the bass on his song “Hyde,” live in the studio with drummer Jon Wilkes. Reshard shreds some hot licks and adds some flair with his tremolo bar.

Jon Reshard, who is the current bassist for Greg Howe, first caught my attention on the Gospelchops Bass DVD, where he did a cool medley of a few songs he had arranged for bass. In the medley was parts of Billy Joel’s “She’s Always A Woman”:
