This week we’re checking out a new signature bass by Camarota Instruments for the mighty Lorenzo Feliciati. The Vinta MkII “Tiger Koi” has an alder body with a stunning flamed redwood top that gives the beast its stripes.

Lorenzo Feliciati has unveiled a new trio project called Kamayan. Their debut album is described as a “declaration of love for electric jazz” with influences from Weather Report, Pat Metheny Group, and Yellowjackets.

Lorenzo Feliciati always impresses me with his sense of space and texture. Here’s a great example of that with a video for “Grey and Red.” Feliciati builds the song with loops and effects to create an atmosphere like a movie soundtrack.
