Guitar legend Eric Clapton is hitting the road this fall and feature veteran bassist Nathan East. The U.S. tour will include eight shows, which he says will be his only U.S. shows for the year.

Steve Bailey, Victor Wooten, and John Patitucci are continuing their weekly bass hang on July 9th with a session called “L.A. Studio-Shed.” The free Zoom webinar will feature the trio talking with a who’s who of the session scene in Los Angeles.

I’ve been a long time fan of Studio Jams. Here’s episode #69, which was filmed on April 18, 2015. Nathan East, James “Biscuit” Rouse, Gil Parris, and Matt King combine an open jam with “Tutu” in this clip.

Kevin sent me this incredible video from the 2020 Winter NAMM Show. In this clip, Nathan East and Mr. Talkbox take the stage to perform “Daft Funk.”

Nathan East is one busy cat. We featured some incredible videos of Nathan over the course of 2019, as well as the news about him playing on Ringo Starr’s latest album. As a result, Nathan lands at the #4 slot for this year’s list.

We’re gearing up for the 2020 NAMM Show and looking back at some of the cool videos from past shows. In this clip, Jeff “Skunk” Baxter performs Steely Dan’s “Rikki Don’t Lose That Number” with Nathan East, live at the 2016 TEC Awards.

This new video just hit my radar, and I’m glad it did. Here’s The Saab Guitar Project, featuring Douglas Saab, Nathan East, Vinnie Colaiuta, and Greg Phillinganes performing the tune, “Police.”
