Pete Griffin has an insane résumé that includes work with Zappa Plays Zappa, Steve Vai, Zakk Wylde, Dethklok, Dr. John, and many more. We caught up with him to get the scoop on his new EP, “Pete Griffin and His Lab Rats,” and more.

Dethklok is heading back out on the road in April for the “Mutilation on a Spring Night” tour. Running April 3rd through May 3rd, the run will take them from coast to coast with support from DragonForce and Nekrogoblikon.

After a decade of dormancy, Dethklok has returned an album of all new songs and a full-length feature film. “Dethalbum IV” and “Metalocalypse: Army of the Doom Star” are out now, and as such, the animated death metal overlords are taking the metal to the masses.

Drummer Gergo Borlai has just released his new album, The Missing Song, which serves as a tribute to all the influential drummers that have inspired him. Although it’s drum-centric, Borlai is joined by an unbelievable cast of bassists for the record.

Giraffe Tongue Orchestra, featuring Alice in Chains frontman William DuVall and members of Mastodon and Dillinger Escape Plan, has released its debut album, Broken Lines. Animated death metal outfit Dethklok will be hitting the road this fall with Machine Head, All That Remains, and the Black Dahlia Murder in support of their upcoming release Dethalbum III.
