Sting made his name as the bassist and vocalist for a power trio called The Police, and now he’s getting back to the format. He’s announced a new tour called “STING 3.0” featuring a new trio with longtime guitarist Dominic Miller and drummer Chris Maas of Mumford & Sons fame.

After taking it everywhere, from United Arab Emirates to Singapore, Sting has announced his “My Songs World Tour” will be hitting North America this September and October.

Sting has returned with his fifteenth solo album, called “The Bridge”. The star-studded release was fleshed out over the past year and lyrically connects deeper subjects.

Our friend Will Lee shared this video a couple of days ago from a 1991 performance of “Mad About You” by Sting on Late Night With David Letterman. “I need to thank him for generously letting me have a crack at that great bass part,” Will shared.

In 2018, Sting and Shaggy teamed up in an unlikely pairing to release “44/876.” Last week, the duo visited NPR Music for a Tiny Desk Concert. It is cool to hear Sting’s trusty ’57 Fender Precision in this setting.

An inside look at The Police is now available thanks to a new documentary from Stewart Copeland. “The Police: Everyone Stares – The Police Inside Out” is a first-person look at the band compiled from the drummer’s personal camera.

Between his time with The Police and his solo catalog, Sting has had plenty of hits. His new album, “My Songs,” celebrates this fact with new versions of the bassist/vocalist’s most famous work.

Sting is releasing “My Songs” later this month. The new album will include his biggest hits from his career, “each reshaped and reimagined for 2019.” To help kick things off, he and his band appeared on the Today Show to perform “Shape Of My Heart.”

The Police have announced a career-spanning vinyl box set called Every Move You Make: The Studio Recordings. The six-LP set includes the band’s entire catalog of recorded studio albums plus a 12-track disc called Flexible Strategies that contains B-sides and rarities. The albums were remastered at Abbey Road Studios by Miles Showell and will be cut onto 180-gram heavyweight vinyl....
