The husband and wife team of Tim Lefebvre and Rachel Eckroth have been putting out amazing music, lessons, and tutorials through their Live from Blackbird Patreon page. Their latest release is a mesmerizing track in collaboration with Alassane.

Many fans know Tim Lefebvre for his monumental electric work with David Bowie, The Tedeschi Trucks Band, Wayne Krantz, and more. Now, a new duo album with his wife Rachel Eckroth shows listeners a more sensitive side of the bassist.

The David Bowie tribute, “A Bowie Celebration”, had its tour cut short last year due to the pandemic. Now they’ve scheduled a streaming event with appearances by Chris Chaney, Tony Levin, Tim Lefebvre, Gail Ann Dorsey, Carmine Rojas, and Tony Visconti.

Scary Goldings is one of my favorite bands right now. Here’s the band, with Tim Lefebvre on bass, performing “Bondgirl”. Tim is laying it down on his De Armond Star Fire bass. (And I just want to say how much I dig the B3.)

Tedeschi Trucks Band recently shared this never-before-seen bonus video from the “Live From The Fox Oakland” concert. Filmed while Tim Lefebvre was still in the group, here’s an excellent clip of the band performing John Prine’s “Angel From Montgomery.”

Movie Club has released their third EP, entitled “Man O’ War,” which proves to be their grittiest and heaviest yet. The duo of Vince Cuneo and Jessamyn Violet tapped former David Bowie and Tedeschi Trucks Band bassist Tim Lefebvre for the project.

Tim Lefebvre shared this clip of his last performance in Europe before he had to leave for the States earlier this month. “Don’t Be Scared” begins with a free jam including otherworldly sounds from Lefebvre. They then kick in to a groove and build in intensity.

Tim Lefebvre was a busy man in 2019. After leaving the Tedeschi Trucks Band in late 2018, the bassist was part of a variety of projects, including signing on with The Black Crowes in November. He lands at #8 on the 2019 “Reader Favorite Bassists” list.
