Jeff Coffin has released a new solo album called “Between Dreaming and Joy,” but it’s far from a solo effort. The saxophonist, who many know from his work with Dave Matthews Band, has an absolutely stacked lineup to fill out the music.

Dumpstaphunk has returned with their fourth studio album, “Where Do We Go From Here”, which also marks their first full-length in seven years. The band is anchored by two bassists: Tony Hall and Nick Daniels. Together, they lay down some serious grooves.

Funk and soul legend Maceo Parker has just released “Soul Food – Cooking With Maceo”, which marks his first studio album in eight years. Parker tapped a handful of local musicians to make the album, including bassist Tony Hall of Dumpstaphunk.

Live for Live Music is presenting a one-day virtual music festival on Saturday, May 30th. The line-up includes some terrific bassists, including George Porter Jr., Mononeon, Erick "Jesus" Coomes, Tony Hall, Nick Daniels III, and Pete Shand.

This version of Graham Central Station’s “Water” by Dumpstaphunk is stellar – AND it has two bassists. Nick Daniels and Tony Hall share Larry Graham’s bass line as they lead the band in this 2013 performance.

Thanks to the new iTunes Radio, I got on a Dumpstaphunk kick, which extended to videos of the band.
