Journey has announced a huge tour for 2023 with Toto as their special guest. After some lineup shuffling over the past few years, Journey is currently anchored by bassist Todd Jensen. John Pierce joined Toto as a touring member in 2020.

Toto premiered this video a few days ago from an appearance by Steve Lukather, Joseph Williams, and David Paich, with the band’s new line-up (including bassist John Pierce). In this clip, the group performs “A Little Help From My Friends”.

Toto’s “Africa” made a huge resurgence in the past year, but none of the new versions are quite the same without Mike Porcaro. Check out this live version of the song that features the bassist’s signature playing as well as a groove-oriented solo.
