The fusion pioneering band Yellowjackets has released “Parallel Motion,” marking the 27th album in their 41 years as a group. The album includes bassist Dane Alderson, who joined the band in 2015.

Yellowjackets has been at it since 1977 and released its debut album in 1981. Nearly forty years later, they went big with their 25th offering, entitled “Jackets XL”, which features the WDR Big Band of Cologne, Germany.

Zycopolis TV just shared some great videos from The Yellowjackets 2019 concert at New Morning. Dane Alderson is in the line-up, masterfully holding down the low end on the tune, “Brotherly.”
