Seymour Duncan has unveiled a new digital delay and reverb pedal called the Dark Sun. Developed with Periphery guitarist Mark Holcomb, the unit draws its sound from the Andromeda Dynamic Delay and the Silver Lake Dynamic Reverb pedals.

BecosFX has added to their CompIQ series with the CompIQ PRO Stella Compressor. Designed for bass and guitar, the pedal is described as “highly versatile… providing compression, limiting, and a twist of available harmonic distortion.”

Mattoverse Electronics has unveiled the AirTrash, which they say “is a pedal for guitar or bass that sounds like absolute garbage.” Its gnarly sounds could be described as a fuzz, but it’s not based on any known fuzz circuit.

ZVEX Effects has unleashed a new vertical version of their Instant Lo-Fi Junky pedal. The pedal revolves around a Comp/Lo-Fi knob that gives a warbly, vibrato effect.

Rockboard by Warwick has updated their lineup of pedalboards with the Rockboard DUO 2.0. The smallest of the series, the unit holds between 3 and 5 effects pedals.

Mastro Valvola has released a new version of their Area multi-reverb called the Area MkII. The new unit has the same features as the original with the addition of a Timed Bypass System, which the company designed to manage the reverb trails.

Spiral Electric FX has just released the Yellow Spiral Drive, which they say ranges in sounds from “a clean boost to a crunchy monster.” The company is headed by circuit designer Tom Cram, who worked at DOD/Digitech and helped create The Carcosa, Rubberneck, and FreqOut pedals during his tenure.

West Co Pedals and drummer Curt Bisquera have teamed up to create a new envelope filter called The Grease Juicer. The pedal comes in two versions with one for guitar and one for bass.

Joyo Audio has introduced the R-12 Band Controller. Made for both bass and guitar, the graphic EQ has ten frequency bands ranging from 31.25 Hz to 16 Hz. It also has a volume control for adjusting the overall output level.

Warwick’s Rockboard has announced the new Power Block power supply, which delivers power for up to 10 effects pedals. Built to save space, the Power Block measures up at 4.1?x2.4?x0.9? and weighs just five ounces.

Pigtronix has introduced the Resotron, which is an analog filter based on 70’s keyboard synthesizers. Effective for guitar, bass, and more, the pedal is based around the SSM2040 chip found in the Prophet 5 and Octave CAT synthesizers.

Fender unveiled six new effects pedals featuring original designed circuits at the 2019 Winter NAMM Show. Notable among the new stompboxes is the Downtown Express, which marks the company’s first official bass effects pedal.
