Mono Cases Unveils Vertigo Top-Loading Bass Guitar Case

Mono Cases - VertigoMono Cases has unveiled the Vertigo, which they state is the world’s first top-loading instrument case. Available in bass and guitar models, the design unzips from the headstock down on both sides for quicker access to your axe.

The company’s Headlock neck suspension system got a redesign for the Vertigo and no longer requires strapping or buckling. It works by resting the neck in the base of the Headlock, then zipping up the case. The top section of the system then clamps down, holding your bass firmly in place.

A brand new feature is The Boot, which takes a cue from the footwear industry and provides a cushioned inside with extra space for the strap button while the outside features a custom molded rubber outsole. The result provides a resilient bottom to the case while offering further protection from vertical drops.

Other features include a deep front pocket for storage, steel riveted handles, and a waterproof Sharkskin shell with industrial rubber piping. It comes in Jet Black or Steel Gray.

Mono says the Vertigo Bass Guitar Case fits standard electric bass guitars including Fender, Ibanez, Warwick, Tobias, and Yamaha. It’s available now for $205. For more info, check out the Mono Cases website.

  1. Will this fit a fender Jazz 5? The machine Head are pretty wide on that and I’m struggling to find a durable bag for it.

  2. With a top loading case like that, an integrated stand would be pretty cool. Use the case for a stand and if someone knocked over the stand, the case protects your bass. Best of both worlds. Mono, you can send me a royalty check for my idea. :)

    • This looks really cool.

    • Exactly, our Xdrummer ruined my baby by knocking her out of the stand and off the stage. Sunbitch.

  3. No case for Hollow Basses? Too bad :o(.

  4. I don’t get it. Couldn’t you just set your gig bag down, unzip one side, and pull the instrument out? This actually seems LESS stable, since it’s designed to unzip/load in an upright position and yet totally lacks a restraint from falling forward.

  5. Anyone know if the system supports a Headlock 5 string bass?

  6. Casing left a line on my Fender American Deluxe and Sadowsky PJ5 bass necks.
