Dunlop Goes Lower with New Heavy Core Bass Strings

Dunlop Heavy Core Bass StringsDunlop’s bass strings lineup is going even lower with the introduction of their Heavy Core Bass Strings. Designed with thicker core wires, the new sets were created to give a standard feel and tonal definition at drop tunings.

The Heavy Core lineup comes in three flavors: Heavy for Drop D and D-standard tuning, Heavier for Drop C and C-standard tuning, and Heaviest for Drop B and B-standard tuning. Between their heavy core and nickel plated steel design, Dunlop says the sets offer “Big, punchy lows, articulate mids, and crunchy highs.”

The Dunlop Heavy Core Bass Strings are available now with an MSRP of $44.95. For more info, check out the Dunlop website.

  1. I’m usually an early ball fan ( because I like the very thin sharp sound they produce) but being that I play a lot in drop d and occasionally C, I am really tempted to try these.
