The Bassist's Guide to Injury ManagementDr. Randy Kertz has reissued his seminal work, The Bassist’s Guide to Injury Management, as a downloadable eBook. The book covers a wide range of common and uncommon physical issues that bass players may face. Dr. Kertz explains injuries and conditions that may occur as well as prevention and treatment options for each. A symptom guide helps players to pinpoint their issues.

Kertz also includes advice from top level bass players including Steve Bailey, David Ellefson, Putter Smith and Victor Wooten, while the second edition adds updated information for double bassists. It also has new interviews with Esperanza Spalding, John Clayton, Chuck Rainey and Lemmy.

    Why do I have a feeling that Lemmys advice involves speed and Jack Daniels?

      Because his does, or did – haha. If ya haven’t seen his (lemmy) dvd it’s pretty cool. Extremely funny at times. Seriously though, the Dr.’s book is good. All & all, remember to STRETCH !!!
