G&L Guitars Introduces 35th Anniversary Model Basses
Thirty-five years ago, Leo Fender and George Fullerton teamed up to form G&L Guitars. Now the company is celebrating with a line of 35th Anniversary models including three guitars and two basses: the LB-100 and the M-2000. Each instrument is finished in Emerald Green Metallic, representing the traditional gemstone of the 35th Anniversary, the emerald.
Both basses are built with an alder body, a hard rock maple neck, and a rosewood fingerboard. The LB-100 model features a G&L Alnico V split-coil humbucking pickup and a 3-ply white pearl pickguard. Alternatively, the M-2000 has no pickguard and is fitted with a pair of G&L MFD M-Series humbuckers. It also adds an active 3-band EQ.
Other common features include medium jumbo frets processed by PLEK, custom G&L “Ultra-Lite” tuners with aluminum tapered string posts, and G&L Saddle Lock bridges. A deluxe hardshell tolex case is included.
The G&L USA 35th Anniversary LB-100 and M-1000 basses will be available soon with prices around $1,499 and $1,649, respectively.

Dear No Treble, From now on, could you also kindly include the country of manufacture when reviewing instruments? For example, if these G&L instruments are USA made, the price is justified; if they’re not, the price is not. We like to know these things when doing comparison shopping. So, uh, yeah, if you could just go ahead and, uh, put the country of manufacture in the spec’s from now on, that would be great. Okay? Thaaanks.
The article clearly states: The G&L USA 35th Anniversary.
Please 86 the, “uh” and “thaaanks” nonsense. A little manners, like bass practice, goes a longer way towards getting what you want for yourself.
Try reading and understanding what you read before leaving smart*ss remarks. You’re not as clever as you think you are. Everything you need to know is right there in the article.
Hi ,i agree with Keren. Most important ,country of origin please .makes bleedin big differnce. Boom Boom
I guess you can’t read either, it says “USA 35th anniversary Bass specs” . I hope you and Keren play better that you can read.
