Warwick Announces Idolmaker Bass

Warwick unveiled a bass counterpart to the Framus Idolmaker at the Winter NAMM Show. Produced in the custom shop or as part of their German Pro Series Teambuilt line, the Warwick Idolmaker Bass is built with a carved mahogany body and a bolt-on wenge neck.

It comes in four or five-string versions as well as fretted or fretless. Warwick uses a wenge fingerboard for the fretted model and tigerstripe ebony for the fretless. Each one is fitted with a set of passive MEC vintage pickups and active Warwick electronics. Other features include Mother of Pearl block inlays, illuminated side dots, and a two-piece solid brass Warwick bridge.

The Warwick Idolmaker bass will be available soon with retail prices starting at $9,499 for the Custom Shop version and $4,199 for the Teambuilt version.
