Band Industries has unveiled the Roadie Bass Tuner, which is an automatic tuner designed specifically for the bass. The company says the device has “enough torque to crank the biggest pegs in the business but is as precise as a watchmaker’s fingers.”

Larry Grenadier has been working alongside some of the world’s top musicians for three decades. Now, after all those years, he’s released his first album under his own name. We caught up with Grenadier to get the scoop.

Three years after releasing “The Blue Road,” bassist and composer Juan García-Herreros (a.k.a., Snow Owl) is gearing up to release the followup: The Red Road. Snow Owl has just released the first single from “The Red Road,” called “The Horde.”

Snarky Puppy returns with the second single from their upcoming new album, “Immigrance,” which drops worldwide on March 15th. This track is “Bad Kids To The Back,” and it is an extra funky one by Michael League and the band.

TC Electronic unveiled a new bass amp at the 2019 Winter NAMM Show called the BAM200. The unit is a miniature 200-watt amp intended for “club gigs and practice rigs.” Its Class D power section keeps the weight down while its preamp gives a more natural sound.

David Crosby has announced a new round of dates for his “Sky Trails” tour for 2019. The tour will feature the legendary singer backed by his Sky Trails Band, which includes bassist Mai Leisz.

EBS expanded their Reidmar bass amp series this year with the Reidmar 502. The lightweight amp is rated at 500 watts and handles a 2-ohm load, allowing it to run two 4-ohm cabinets at once.

This week we’re checking out a funky and cool bass built by Jeremy Kirsch called the Sirena Modelo Uno. The four-stringer takes its design cues from similarly funky vintage basses.
