Sadowsky Introduces Spruce Core Single Cut Bass
Sadowsky was on hand at the 2019 Winter NAMM Show to unveil their new Spruce Core Single Cut bass. As the name says, the instrument’s design is based around a body core of spruce that is paired with a hardwood top and back.
“Spruce is one of the most musically resonant woods on the planet,” explains luthier Roger Sadowsky. “It is the number-one tonewood across the acoustic instrument spectrum, from guitars to mandolins to piano soundboards to the whole violin family.”
The Spruce Core Single Cut’s body is 90 percent spruce that’s also chambered. It also features bolt-on neck with 24 frets, Sadowsky Soapbar pickups, and their mid-boost preamp. The bass can be ordered with several options. A price point was not yet available.
