Vola Guitars Unveils the ZVA 5 Bass

Japan’s Vola Guitars has announced a new instrument called the ZVA 5 Bass. The handmade five-string bass is crafted with an alder body, maple neck, and either a rosewood or maple fingerboard for a classic vibe.
Vola gives the bass a slightly extended 34.5-inch scale and a modern C-shaped neck for extra comfort. Its pickups are a pair of Vola JS5s matched to the Vola ATR-I Active 3-band EQ. A mini-switch lets you toggle between active and passive operation. Hardware includes Gotoh tuners and a nickel bridge.
Vola offers the ZVA 5 Bass in Sunburst Gloss or Ocean Turquoise Metallic Gloss finishes. It’s available now for $1,189.
