Hadrien Feraud Announces New Band, New Song with Jaco’s Bass of Doom

Bass virtuoso Hadrien Feraud has announced a new band with vocalist Ryan Quinn called June 32nd, and they’ve just dropped their first single. “No Way Out” is a mid-tempo song with a huge wall of sound.
“This is the kind of music that triggers some real feelings on a deeper level, higher frequency kind of thing,” Feraud says. “There’s a mid-to-late 90s vibe that we went for, back when Pierce Brosnan was James Bond.”
The song is filled out by Gergo Borlai and Sylvain Barou. Part of the track’s massive sound is due in part to Feraud’s fretless bass playing. You may recognize the instrument.
“In case you were wondering – yes, the bass you’re hearing is abso-[expletive]-lutely the Bass of Doom,” he said. Feraud was able to record with Jaco Pastorius’ fabled instrument last year. “That was during this crazy period last summer where I found myself, thanks to Robert Trujillo, where I was sitting in my living room with the Bass of Doom. Of course I indulged!”
“No Way Out” is out now on Spotify. We’ll keep you updated with more news from June 32nd as they release more music.
