“Christian McBride’s World at Sea” Cruise Announced for 2026

Christian McBride

Christian McBride has participated in plenty of jazz cruises, but now he’s starting his own. Christian McBride’s World at Sea is set to launch January 20, 2026, through January 27, 2026. It will feature over 25 musical artists, comedians, and other special guests.

“For more than three decades, it has been my honor to be a part of the universe of jazz,” says McBride. “My world within that universe is best understood through the ensembles I have had the privilege of creating, leading and performing with. I am gathering many of the musicians who have been a part of my life for years for seven days and seven nights of amazing music, camaraderie and joy. Enter my world and enjoy a funky good time.”

McBride will bring his bands, Inside Straight and Ursa Major, and his big band. The bass guru will also perform in a trio with Benny Green and Greg Hutchinson in a trio show called “Remembering Ray Brown.” Other artists slated for the cruise include José James, Cécile McLorin Salvant, Angelique Kidjo, Chris Potter, Melissa Walker, Sullivan Fortner, Benny Green, Greg Hutchinson, Christian Sands, Warren Wolf, and comedians Alonzo Bodden, and George Wallace.

Christian McBride’s World at Sea will depart from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with stops in Jamaica and Grand Cayman before its return. It will take place aboard the Celebrity Summit. Stateroom prices start at $2,975 per person. More info can be found on the cruise’s website.
