Sterling SB14 Bass Returns for 2025 with a New Look and Classic Tone

Sterling by Music Man Sterling SB14 Bass

Last year’s limited edition Sterling SB14 Bass from Sterling by Music Man is returning for 2025 in a new finish. The “passive powerhouse” has returned in a limited Blue Pearl finish.

“With an Alnico V parallel humbucker offering vintage warmth and dynamic responsiveness, this bass delivers a balanced and reliable sound across genres,” the company writes. “It’s the ideal choice for those who appreciate the retro look and feel of the original Music Man Sterling model, while favoring the classic charm and playability of a passive bass. Don’t be fooled by its simplicity—this 4-string packs a versatile punch.”

The SB14 is built with a soft maple body, a hard maple neck, and a rosewood fingerboard. Other features include open gear tuners, white dot markers, and a Volume/Tone control set.

The Sterling by Music Man Sterling SB14 will cost $649.99.
