Ampeg’s Anniversary Preamp Pays Tribute to the Iconic ’69 Blue Line SVT

Ampeg SGT-DI Blue Line Anniversary Edition Preamp

Ampeg has just celebrated 75 years in business. To mark the milestone, they’ve unveiled the SGT-DI Blue Line Anniversary Edition Preamp, which takes their SGT-DI pedal and gives it the aesthetics of the original 1969 “Blue Line” SVT amp.

“We’re proud to be celebrating Ampeg’s 75-year legacy of innovation and dedication to offering the highest quality bass amplification possible,” said Dominic Liberati, Ampeg Product Manager. “To highlight that celebration, we created the SGT-DI Blue Line Anniversary Edition, inspired by the iconic ‘Blue Line’ look of our original 1969 SVT amplifier. It provides that classic flare without the weight!”

The new edition carries all the same features as the original silver SGT-DI, including a Super Grit Technology overdrive circuit with SVT and B-15 voicings, a three-band EQ, a variable compressor, and an aux/headphone section. The SGT-DI is also the first physical Ampeg product to feature IRs and IR loading.

“The 75th Anniversary Free IR Pack, which can be loaded using the free Ampeg IR Loader application, is available to owners who register their SGT-DI or SGT-DI Blue Line Anniversary devices,” the company shares. “Enjoy the HSVT-810AV, SVT-610HLF, and SVT-15E cabs in addition to the six preloaded Ampeg factory cab IRs.”

The Ampeg SGT-DI Blue Line Anniversary Edition is out now for $399.99.
