Ernie Ball Music Man Marks 50 Years of the StingRay With Limited Anniversary Bass

In 1976, an icon was born. Now, Ernie Ball Music Man is celebrating five decades of the StingRay Bass with a limited edition 50th Anniversary model.
The Ernie Ball Music Man 50th Anniversary StingRay Special comes in two colors with limited numbers. The Liquid Gold will come in just 50 instruments worldwide, while the Molten Gold will be limited to 300 instruments. Each bass has its unique character, but they share many similarities.
“Both versions are paired with an ebony fretboard with gold face dot inlays and glow-in-the-dark side markers for effortless navigation on any stage,” EBMM writes. “A roasted flame maple neck and poplar body deliver a fast, comfortable, and perfectly balanced feel, while gold hardware throughout, including a 50th Anniversary-stamped bridge, completes the look.”
Each is also fitted with a single humbucker pickups and a commemorative 50th Anniversary silkscreen on the back of the headstock. They ship in a deluxe hardshell case with a certificate of authenticity.
The Ernie Ball Music Man 50th Anniversary StingRay will be available this spring with a TBD price point. The Liquid Gold colorway will be exclusive to the Ernie Ball Music Man Vault.
