Neural DSP Unveils Quad Cortex Mini: Full Power, Smaller Footprint

Neural DSP Quad Cortex Mini 2Neural DSP was at the 2026 NAMM Show to show off the new Quad Cortex Mini, which puts all the power of their Quad Cortex multi-effects unit into a smaller footprint.

“It brings the same processing power, audio quality, Neural Capture technology, and 7” touchscreen in a footprint that fits effortlessly into pedalboards, modern rigs, or on your desktop,” the company writes.

Built for bass or guitar, the 3.3-pound audio processor has over 90 amp models, over 100 effects and utilities, and over 1,000 cabinet IRs with flexible mic placement. All of your sounds are displayed on The Grid, a visual workspace that shows your signal chain. Four stainless steel rotary footswitches give a tactile control for further tweaking.

As small as the new unit is, it still has plenty of connectivity, including dual inputs, an expression input, dual XLR outputs, dual effects loops, MIDI I/O, a USB-C port, a headphone output, and two 1/4-inch TS outputs.
