Remco Hendriks Lets His Stradi Fretless Bass Do the Talking

Remco Hendriks is back with another unmistakable fretless groove, this time on a 4 string Stradi.  The clip keeps things simple. It is just Remco locked in with a drum track, shot up close with the focus on his hands and the bass.  Remco goes through several tones and styles with slides, phrasing, and a vocal quality that comes from years of living on a fretless. He even breaks out an octave pedal, adding a layer of thickness.  The tone is dialed through an EICH head and cab. Every nuance comes through, from the softest articulation to the more pronounced vibrato.

As always, his style is instantly recognizable.  Check it out.

I also shot THIS VID years ago of Remco at NAMM and it always gets lots of love.
