We usually feature full band performances, but every now and then a play along comes through that deserves the spotlight.
In this video, bassist Ben Jones locks into an R&B/gospel flavored groove and delivers a tone that is impossible to ignore. Playing a 5 string Carvin P bass through the new Gallien Krueger 1001RB Legacy head and GK cabs, Ben pulls out a deep, full sound with plenty of warmth and punch. The setup shines, but it is the feel that stands out. Ben settles into the pocket and lets the groove do the work, showing how much character this rig can deliver in the right hands.
