Phil Jones Bass BOOSTEROOSTER PE-2 Packs EQ, Preamp, and Boost Into One Pedal

Phil Jones Bass BOOSTEROOSTER PE-2

Phil Jones Bass has introduced the BOOSTEROOSTER Model PE-2, a bass pedal that includes a 2-band EQ, preamp, and clean boost. The unit offers up to 18dB of 2-band clean gain specifically for electric and upright bass.

“It has been engineered to restore tonal control in any environment and delivers consistent, authoritative bass tone when connecting to PAs, recording interfaces, or unfamiliar backline — where bass tone is most often compromised,” PJB explains.

The BOOSTEROOSTER has a Bass control (±12dB @ 60Hz) and a Treble Control (±12dB @ 6kHz) as well as Level and Gain knobs. It also has a switch to toggle the input impedance between 2MΩ for magnetic pickups or 4.7MΩ for piezo.

“Piezo pickups loaded incorrectly lose low-frequency content before the signal reaches the amplifier,” the company explains. “The 4.7MΩ input extends effective bandwidth to approximately 30Hz — well below the 41Hz low E — restoring the full character of the instrument.”

The Phil Jones Bass BOOSTEROOSTER PE-2 has a street price of $159.99.
