David Ellefson to Play Megadeth’s “Countdown to Extinction in Full on European Tour
David Ellefson has announced a new round of Bass Warrior Tour dates in Europe for December 2026. The run will feature the former Megadeth bassist with his solo band performing hits from his career, and this time he’ll be playing 1992’s Countdown to Extinction in its entirety. The record has standout tracks like “Symphony of Destruction” and “Sweating Bullets.”
“We had such great fan request for ‘Countdown To Extinction’ from earlier this year that we are going to wrap 2026 with some final shows across Europe which also includes some new cities and countries to celebrate the music from one of my all-time favorite albums of my discography,” Ellefson states. “The perfect holiday wrap up for the year!”
He’ll also play other Megadeth songs, solo material, and other hard rock and metal favorites.
The tour will begin in Italy on December 3rd, working its way north into France, the Netherlands, Germany, Ireland, Slovakia, Poland, and Serbia. Ellefson wraps things up on December 19th in Zagreb, Croatia.
