Headcat Announces New Bassist, Tour Dates

Rockabilly supergroup Headcat has been on hiatus since bassist Lemmy Kilmister’s passing in December 2015. Kilmister formed the band with Slim Jim Phantom and Danny B. Harvey back in 1999 and gigged throughout their 15 years. Now Phantom and Harvey have announced the band will continue with a new bassist/vocalist: former Morbid Angel frontman David Vincent. They announced the new via Facebook.
“Slim Jim Phantom & Danny B. Harvey are very excited to be continuing doing Headcat shows, paying tribute and respect to their brother and founding member Lemmy Kilmister, after the three of them spend 16 years diligently trying to bring raw, genre free, unadulterated rock’n’roll music back into the mainstream,” they write. “The Bass and most the vocal duties will be handled by former frontman and bassist from Morbid Angel, David Vincent. David’s powerful baritone voice and thunderous bass playing is very complimentary to both Danny B’s guitar style and Slim Jim’s drumming. Different than Lemmy but true to Headcat’s vision and direction. Rockabilly and Death Metal??? As Lemmy Kilmister, Danny B, Slim Jim and our fans have always tried to tell to you ‘It’s All Rock’n’roll!'”
The band also announced three U.S. concerts in June for Austin, Seattle, and Portland.
