Zander Zon: Unchained Melody

A few weeks ago, Zander Zon shared his arrangement of the Elvis Presley tune, “Can’t Help Falling In Love.”

That inspired him to tackle another classic: “Unchained Melody.”

“My parents grew up [in the sixties], so I heard all these hits as a kid; I always wanted to arrange this one on bass and it works really well in standard fourths actually – though I’m tuned B, E, A, D in a tenor bass tuning,” Zander shared. “‘Unchained Melody’ actually wasn’t written by The Righteous Brothers, though their version did popularise it. It was also used in the classic 90s film ‘Ghost’ with Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore.”
