Duff McKagan Says New Guns N’ Roses Album In The Works

Duff McKagan revealed that there’s a new Guns N’ Roses album in the works. The group, which reunited in 2017, will be working on a new album now that their tour is over. McKagan was on Trunk Nation with Eddie Trunk this past Friday and said he’s heard some of the music Axl Rose has been writing for the new record.

“Oh, it’s real, but the fun part and the cool part about Guns N’ Roses is we don’t really talk about it, and what happens next just happens,” he said. “It’s never been that band that there’s a direct schedule of how we do things. I’ve heard some magnificent stuff that Axl has, really cool stuff he’s been working on. So I’m excited about the possibilities with that, of course. I don’t mean to get anybody rabid. Our day will happen when it happens, that’s for sure.”

The last Guns N’ Roses release, Chinese Democracy, came out in 2008 after many years of waiting. McKagan is also currently working on a solo album that is due out this year.

There’s no telling when the new GN’R album will be done, but we’ll keep you updated with details as they become available.
