Bass of the Week: AV Basses AVJM5

This week we’re checking out the AVJM5 by AV Basses. Built by luthier Aleš Vychodil, this particular build features a swamp ash body topped with a gorgeous poplar burl top with a matching headstock.














Other features include a one-piece hard maple neck, an African ebony fingerboard, and pearl inlays. Its pickups are a set of Nordstrand NJ5’s matched to AV’s own 3-band EQ. You can hear it in this BassTheWorld demo by René Flächsenhaar:
