Siddharth Nagarajan with Gabriel Severn: Highway 142
I’m a huge fan of Indian Fusion, so I was excited to see this video Vivian Severn sent us. In this clip, Gabriel Severn takes on a new challenge with drummer Siddharth Nagarajan, guitarist Durwin D’souza, and percussionist Rhythm Nagi.
“I thought I’d send you a video of something a little different: a recording Gabriel recently did on Siddharth Nagarajan’s project ‘Layaatraa: A Drum Siddharth Collective’,” Vivian shared. “The tune is “Highway 142” and is Gabriel’s first venture into playing Indian jazz fusion.”
Gabriel plays a brilliant fretless solo on the tune, which was written by Siddharth.
