Paul Ballam-Cross Publishes “Fernando Sor: Selected Studies Arranged for Electric Bass”

Fernando Sor: Selected Studies Arranged for Electric BassThe bass has its own repertoire, but we can often learn new things by studying other instruments. That’s the idea behind the new book Fernando Sor: Selected Studies Arranged for Electric Bass.

Author Paul Ballam-Cross chose and arranged pieces by 19th-century classical guitar composer Fernando Sor for the electric bass. The book includes fourteen solo pieces and four duets for further study.

“This publication aims to provide electric bass players with material that is both didactic and enjoyable to play but could also be used in recital programs,” the description reads.

Each piece in the 56-page book is presented in both musical notation and tablature. It’s available now through Amazon.
