Hani Caz?!: My Favorite Things
Bassist Ahmad Hani put together an amazing arrangement of the classic song “My Favorite Things” from The Sound of Music. The rendition is performed by Hani Caz?!, which is his trio with Yigit Boyunaga on keys and Gürkan Özkan on tabla.
Hani and Boyuna?a set the mood with a rubato intro before they relax into the song’s form. The band builds and builds, eventually going into a frenzied double-time groove to bring the excitement to a climax before bringing it back down to earth for the melody out.
It’s fun to watch the studio audience members get into a trance along with the trio.
