Fred Armisen Announces “Comedy for Bass Players, But Everyone is Welcome”

Comedian Fred Armisen has a deep history with music. The SNL and Portlandia star was a drummer before an actor, touring with the punk rock band Trenchmouth and even performing with Blue Man Group. In 2018 he released a Netflix special called “Standup for Drummers,” and in 2023, he’ll be turning his attention to the low end of the spectrum.
SF SketchFest has announced that Armisen will have a residency during the San Francisco Comedy Fest with a show called “Comedy for Bass Players, But Everyone Is Welcome.” The show will run from January 27th through the 29th at the Great American Music Hall. While details are still few, Armisen will welcome a special guest bass player each night.
Tickets for the show are $40 in advance and can be found on the SF SketchFest website.
