Genzler Amplification Expands Pedal Line with Magellan Pre

Genzler Amplification Magellan Pre Pedal Plugged In

Genzler Amplification has expanded its product lineup with the Magellan Pre, an analog bass preamp and direct box. The model brings the preamp and feature set of their Magellan bass amps into an on-the-go pedal format.

“From natural, pristine, transparent reproduction of the bass instrument to classic, vintage harmonic textures with a ‘weighted feel to the notes,’ the MG-PRE-PEDAL provides the tonal palette needed to cover all of the bassist’s tone requirements,” Genzler writes.

That feature set includes wide-range input circuitry, a variable high pass filter, switchable dual contours with independent controls, a three-band EQ with sweepable mids, and more. Its rear panel is loaded with connectivity with an instrument input, an aux input (stereo or mono), a preamp output, a headphone output, and an XLR direct out with pre/post and ground lift switches.
